Partial Property Styling Explained

Partial Property Styling Explained

Ever wondered how property styling or home staging can work if you already have your own furniture? Partial styling can be a fantastic way to maximise the value of your home without having to remove all your own furniture. We explain what partial home styling is and how it can help you get the best price for your home on auction day.

WHAT IS PARTIAL PROPERTY STYLING?

Put simply, partial property styling is is exactly what it says on the tin. It is not a full styling package for your home but rather styling specific parts of your property. The process can work for both a room that has no furniture in it or a specific area in the home which is not furnished well enough for sale. Through partial styling, decorative elements such as artwork, rugs, linen and accessories are blended and added to improve the space.

HOW THE PROCESS WORKS

One of our expert stylists will come to your property and assess the space, as well as the buyer demographic you will be targeting for the sale of your home. Working with some of the existing furniture in the home, a stylist will advise on, and select key pieces to remove or add to the space. This will help to maximise the overall presentation of the property and increase its value.

Once your installation date is booked and confirmed, the Vault Interiors team will set up the new furniture and décor additions, blending them with your existing décor. Prior to the installation, you should store any items recommended for removal by your stylist.

WHY PARTIAL STYLING MIGHT WORK FOR YOU

Whilst we would generally always recommend a full styling package for consistency and best results, sometimes this is just not an option for sellers. Perhaps you have furniture which may not appeal to a broader market. This is the perfect scenario to engage a trained property stylist who can advise on swapping out particular pieces and complementing those which can be kept for the sale campaign. This approach, along with adding the right accessories and dressings, can enhance the overall space and appeal to potential buyers.

You might have comfortable but oversized furniture pieces which are fantastic for you to live with, but might make a room feel smaller than it actually is. Or you may just want to vamp up your existing furnishings with the right décor to get the best result on auction day. Our stylists provide expert advice on what items to introduce for maximum impact which allows buyers to visualise the home in its best light.
